About Arts on the Ave Edmonton Society
Rooted in the belief that art is a catalyst for social change, creating opportunities for everyone to experience the joy of artistic expression
Who We Are: Arts on the Ave Edmonton Society is a registered non-profit charity engaged in developing Alberta Avenue (NAIT to Northlands) into a curated arts district. Our work began in 2005 and we were incorporated as a Society in 2007.
Community: We have worked with thousands of multi-disciplinary artists and invested community members, cultivating artistic fellowship through arts celebrations, signature art festivals, and traditions.
Location: Headquartered at The Carrot Community Arts Coffeehouse (9351 118 Avenue) in Edmonton, our area is 118th Avenue from 75 to 106 Streets.
Programs: We produce the Kaleido Family Arts Festival and Deep Freeze: A Byzantine Winter, along with workshops, pop-up galleries, and collaborative opportunities for local artists. In April 2008 we received the 21st Mayor's Celebration of the Arts.
